What it's all about...

Small Changes for a Massive Impact

My name is Delilah and in 2018 I decided that I wanted to make a difference in my community and the world. I began to collect recycling from individuals and business's in my community and donating the proceeds to The World Wildlife Fund. Then, in 2020 I expanded my donations to more organizations:

  • National Wildlife Federation

  • Oceans Conservancy

  • Rainforest Alliance

  • Nature Conservancy

  • ASPCA

At this time I have donated close to $5,000 and my long term goal is $10,000. Along with this, my goal is to encourage people of all ages to make changes in their everyday lives to help protect and preserve our environment.

Your Impact

Recycling

The average American creates around 1,609 lbs. of waste each year. In the United States only 28% of the waste that can be recycled actual is. It's time to make a change.

What can be recycled?

  • Paper

  • Plastic

  • Metal

  • Glass

  • Cardboard

Recycling conserves both energy and new materials, along with reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and destroys environments.

Reduce

By making eco-friendly choices in your everyday life, you can reduce your carbon footprint. A carbon footprint is the total amount of carbon emissions that you as an individual cause.

What are some ways that you can reduce your carbon footprint?

  • Eat plant based - Going vegan is the number one way to reduce your carbon footprint.

  • Recycle - You will be reducing the waste in landfills, and the energy/materials produced.

  • Don't give into fast fashion - Clothing is the second biggest polluter. By thrifting, and not buying new clothing you can reduce energy and production of new materials.

  • Drive less - Driving uses fossil fuels which is extremely hard on our planet. Instead, ride bikes, use public transportation, or switch to electric.

Reuse

A great way to reduce your carbon footprint and ensure that you won't make harmful changes to the environment is by reusing.

How and what can I reuse?

  • Buy Reusable water bottles

  • Buy reusable grocery bags

  • Donate old books, clothing, and furniture

  • Reuse plastic to-go containers

  • Invest in reusable baby diapers, and feminine hygiene products

  • Thrift!!
